Distronode Opens District Scheduling to Every District AI Workspace

Distronode has opened District Scheduling to every District AI workspace. Since September 2026 any workspace can turn it on from its dashboard and get a public booking page on its own address, offering the same hours and the same calendar its receptionist already offers on the phone. Until now District AI could book an appointment one way: a caller asked, the assistant checked the calendar, and the time went in while the caller was still on the line. There is a second door now, and customers who would rather not call can use it.

The page lives at the workspace's own -book.distronode.com address, fixed when scheduling is switched on so that a link shared with a customer keeps working after a rename. A phone consultation is on it from the first minute, built from the hours, the notice period and the booking window the workspace already publishes. Owners add as many appointment types as they need, each with its own length, buffers and intake questions, held by phone, in person, or at a link they provide. Every booking lands in one register in the dashboard, where it can be cancelled, rescheduled or reassigned, and the person who booked is emailed either way.

The booking page connects Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 and any CalDAV calendar, which is how Apple Calendar connects, and each calendar can block time against new bookings, receive them, or both. Booking during a call is narrower and the company says so plainly: when the assistant takes an appointment with a caller on the line, it books into Google Calendar.

Bookings are stored in the workspace's own region, beside its other records and inside the same nightly backup. Each of Distronode's four regions runs its own scheduler on the same host as that region's workspace database, so a Canadian workspace's bookings are in Montreal and a European workspace's in Frankfurt. The data residency map publishes where every kind of data lives for each region.

Owners who want the calendar on their own website can embed it, either inline in a page or as a popup opened from a button of their own, and the widget answers only to the domains a workspace has named. API keys and signed webhooks are available for anything that has to reach a system of the owner's own.

District Scheduling is built on District Scheduler, Distronode's Apache-2.0 fork of Calnode, published at github.com/distronode-corporation/district-scheduler. Nine of the fixes written for it have been merged upstream, so the wider Calnode project carries them too. Scheduling is part of every District AI workspace with nothing extra to pay, on all four plans.
