District AI Brings Its Full Call Stack to Europe, Ships a Canadian Voice Engine
District AI now runs European workspace calls in Europe end to end, holds its first EU number, and ships an optional Montreal voice engine for Canada too.
Distronode has announced that the full District AI call stack now runs in Europe for European workspaces: the workspace database in Frankfurt, the media servers that carry a browser call, speech recognition, the language model, speech synthesis, the receptionist itself, the equipment that connects calls to the telephone network, and the transcripts and summaries the calls leave behind. Calls a European workspace makes, calls it takes in the browser, and calls that arrive on its European number are all handled in Europe, and the company's first European telephone number, in Estonia, is live: a call to it is delivered by the carrier in Ireland to Distronode's own equipment in Frankfurt and answered there.
European numbers start with Estonia. A European workspace can take one today, with no documents, against the approved regulatory registration Distronode holds; the company also holds an approved registration in the United Kingdom, and a dashboard registrations flow walks workspaces through their own for other countries.
For Canada, District AI ships an optional voice engine that runs speech recognition, the language model and speech synthesis in Montreal, including the platform's first Canadian French voices. It is chosen per workspace and is off by default.
The same release hardens the account: two-step verification is available on every account, turned on from Settings with any authenticator app, and calls and meetings made in the app are end-to-end encrypted between the device and the AI. Google and Microsoft sign-ins rely on the second factor the provider already asked for, and can add ours on top.
Pricing now follows the billing address. Customers with a Canadian billing address are billed in Canadian dollars and customers with a billing address in the European Union in Euros, at prices set in each currency rather than converted from US dollars: District AI Voice Solo is CA$59 or €35 a month, Voice Starter CA$119 or €69, Voice Pro CA$359 or €219, and Voice Studio CA$1,299 or €799, with overage minutes priced in the same currency. New customers can create an account and choose a plan without an invitation.
